We Are The Digital Natives!
Most teenagers want to post everything about their lives on the web. What are some ways that these posts can come back and get them (us) in trouble down the road?
Posts like these can come back to bite us when certain places we want to look for look up our profiles and could see pictures of us acting inappropriately. They would not consider hiring us at this point.
You can post or send things bad about yourself &it can get sent around and ruin your reputation. Also if you write bad about people close to you, &someone finds if hurtful, embarrassing, ect... they can get you in trouble for cyber bullying, and you can get in trouble with the law over it.
If we decided to answer in a rude way would be one way that it would get us trouble down the road. Our emails are linked to this blog, meaning if a potential person that is hiring you searches your email, they will find this blog and your answers.
Their possible bosses in the future could look back on their lives on facebook and see their posts from the 11th grade and how they talked trash about someone and started drama. That can make the boss think they might be a problem person, therefore not hire them. Things like that can mess up our own opportunities for a good job.
having inappropriate photos, bullying people, slandering companies, stupid decisions for there (your) statuses and inappropriate messages to other people.
It makes it easier for them to be stalked without them even knowing. People can see everything the person posts, and if they post everything, everything they do becomes common knowledge to everybody else. If the person posts upon impulse they could upset many other people. This could damage relationships including and excluding themselves. These breaks in relationships may or not be repairable. People have long memories. If they get mad over a Facebook post, then they may be more likely to do harm to the poster of the post.
